Davis Community Soccer – Summer Drop-In Sessions
Join us for free-play soccer sessions around Davis this summer! These are casual pickup soccer gatherings — no registration, no teams, no experience required. Just show up, get sorted into sides, and play.
What is pickup soccer?
Pickup soccer is informal, unstructured soccer where anyone can join. Players self-organize into teams on the spot, pick up a pinnie (a mesh vest to tell teams apart), and play. There are no referees, no score kept, and no pressure — just a fun, friendly game for anyone who loves to run around and kick a ball. It's a great way to get exercise, meet neighbors, and enjoy the beautiful game in a low-stakes setting.
Games are open to all skill levels — whether a player is just starting out, plays competetive soccer now, or haven't touched a ball in years, you're welcome on the field.
Davis Community Soccer coaches will be on site to help set up fields, distribute pinnies, and get games going. Typically teams organize by size/age and we encourage any 8+ to come on out! and bring some friends too!
What to bring: Water and closed-toe shoes (cleats and shinguards option). Play at your own risk.
⚠️ Heat policy: Player safety comes first. If the temperature is projected to be 100°F or above at the time of the session, the event will be cancelled. We'll do our best to communicate cancellations in advance — so keep an eye out if it's shaping up to be a hot one!
