Select Soccer is designed for players who excelled during the Fall Core season and are looking to keep growing in a more structured, competitive environment. It's the bridge between recreational soccer and our United program — and for many players, it's where the game starts to get serious in the best possible way.
Teams are formed through a combination of Fall season evaluation and dedicated tryouts, with coaches building balanced rosters through a draft process. Not every player who registers will be placed on a team, but every player will be evaluated fairly.
Select Soccer is open to Core program participants who showed strong development during the Fall season. Signing up for the tryout interest list is not a commitment — it simply lets our coaches know your player wants to be considered.
Early sign-up is encouraged, as it gives coaches more time to evaluate players during Fall Core games. Walk-up registrations are accepted at tryouts, but pre-registration helps ensure an organized process.
Tryouts are held at Nugget Fields, 1801 Moore Blvd, Davis. Dates and times are announced each fall — check back here or follow DCS for updates. Players who cannot attend due to injury or scheduling conflicts should contact us in advance.
Financial assistance is available for all DCS programs. No player should sit out due to cost — reach out before or during registration and we'll make it work.
